About the Practice
The person behind Kozi Korner
Therapy is deeply personal. So is the person who provides it. Here's a little about who I am, how I work, and why I do this.

Hi, I'm Torie Holmes, LMSW
Kozi Korner started from a simple belief: therapy should feel like a real conversation that breathes warm, calm and honest. I'm a Licensed Master Social Worker in Georgia, and I work with adolescents, teens, adults, and families through the things that quietly take up too much space — such as anxiety, stress, and the kind of life changes that catch you off guard.
My training is grounded in evidence-based approaches — Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, person-centered, trauma-informed care, and strengths-based practice. But I hold those frameworks lightly. The method only matters if it actually helps you — so we'll find what does, together.
I work exclusively via telehealth, which means sessions happen wherever you feel most comfortable — your living room, your parked car, your lunch break. Life is busy. Therapy should fit into it.

My Approach
How I work with you
Collaborative, not prescriptive
You're the expert on your own life. I bring tools, perspective, and a trained ear — but we decide together what direction makes sense.
Evidence-informed
I draw from CBT, mindfulness-based approaches, person-centered, trauma-informed care, and strengths-based practice. I hold these frameworks as guides, not scripts.
Culturally aware
Identity, background, and lived experience shape everything. I strive to be a thoughtful, humble presence in that context.
Paced by you
There's no script we have to get through. Some sessions go deep, some are quieter — and that's okay. You set the pace, and I'll meet you there.
Beyond the Credentials
Why this work matters to me
"I do this work because the impact of being truly heard isn't small. It's the kind of thing that quietly changes how someone moves through their week."
My passion for therapy has grown through working with individuals and families across many stages of life. My experience includes working as a therapist in the school setting with adolescents, teens, and families, providing support through emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. I have also worked closely with families in hospice care, offering emotional support and grief guidance during difficult transitions, as well as supporting older adults in the hospital setting navigating mental health concerns and life adjustments.
These experiences have strengthened my passion for creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered in their healing journey.
I believe change begins when people feel seen and understood, and it is a privilege to be part of that journey with my clients.
Outside of sessions, I'm drawn to the same things I bring into the therapy room: curiosity, warmth, and a belief that small, honest conversations can change things.
